Magic Bullet Colorista is the latest plug-in from Red Giant Software, which adds colour balancing tools to the range of 'film looks' plug-ins.
Magic Bullet changes the tone and colouring of footage to a set of looks inspired by film and broadcast genres such as Technicolor and car commercial, and specific movies and programmes including The Matrix and CSI. Core to getting these styles to look right, as with any colour correction process, is colour balancing your footage before applying them -- which is what Colorista's toolset is geared towards.
Magic Bullet Colorista is available in FxPlug format for Final Cut Pro Motion, AE for After Effects and Premiere Pro, and AVX for Avid systems. It costs $199 (around £101), or $599 (around £306) as part of the Magic Bullet Complete Bundle.
