PNY has announced the launch of the new Nvidia Quadro FX 4000, a high-end, workstation-class graphics board. The FX 4000 will be available in Q2 of this year, for around £1399.
Designed for digital content creators and other professional users, PNY claims that the FX 4000 delivers more than five times the hardware-accelerated pixel read-back performance over previous generation graphics systems and enables over twice the improvement in geometry and fill rates.
New features include rotated-grid, full-scene anti-aliasing and floating-point imaging capabilities for dynamic-range image rendering. The board has a 256MB, 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface with 32GB/sec bandwidth and can support two dual-link DVI-I connectors for driving multiple screens at up to 3840-x-2400 pixels.
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4000 by PNY Technologies will be available in Q2 2004 for RRP £1399.
