Pantone has released an upgrade to its monitor calibration solution Huey, allowing it to run natively on the new Windows Vista operating system. The huey software update is available, free-of-charge, from the Pantone Web site
"We began collaborating with Microsoft early in the Windows Vista development process to ensure the timely release of Windows Vista-compatible huey software," said Helmut Eifert, vice president of Pantone Europe. "With this upgrade, we are demonstrating our continuing commitment to our Windows customers by ensuring they are able to take advantage of the latest Windows operating system. Furthermore, Windows Vista is expected to be embraced by the creative community and we want to be the first to support creative professionals adopting Windows Vista."
Developed in partnership with X-Rite and brought to market by Pantone, huey is based on professional-level technology but is designed to be easy-to-use. In addition, Huey is the first monitor calibration device to continually adjust the monitor as room lighting changes.
Huey costs £59 plus VAT.
