Following its launch in 2008, Panasonic has revived the Next Generation Talent competition this year.

The competition asks students to put their creative skills to the test and produce a TV ad to promote Panasonic's award products for a chance to win an ad spot on national television, a two-week work experience placement with one of Panasonic’s creative agencies, a 42-inch Viera HDTV with Freesat and other gear from the electronics giant.

Panasonic have partnered with the Young Creative Network and 10 Universities from across the country with superior programmes in film production, advertising, marketing and design to help foster student talent and raise awareness of the competition.

All entries to Next Generation Talent will be judged by a group of bloggers and professionals in the creative industries after which time the finalists will be turned over to a public vote. A winner will be announced 18th September 2009.

The big prize winner last year was James Fox, from Loughborough University. His Panasonic ad, Boxes, was featured on Channel 4 during primetime television in March 2009.
