Linux video technology developer Heroine Virtual has used the NAB show to launch Cinelerra, high-spec editing software for the open-source platform. Aimed specifically at multi-processor workstations Cinelerra is resolution independent, includes over 100 real-time video and audio filers and supports five-channel audio.
Cinelerra runs on variants of Linux running on Intel, Mac PowerPC or Alpha processors.
