2d3 has released a version of its boujou motion tracking software that works within Autodesk's Maya 3D animation software.

Moujou is aimed at two markets, according to 2d3. It's designed to appeal to smaller studios who don't want to invest in the much more expensive boujou three, and it allows 3D artists at larger studios to track data directly if boujou operators are swamped with work.

It uses the same core tracking technology as boujou and features the ability to import image-based masks and smooth camera paths.
