Mitsui Advanced Media has launched what it claims is the world’s first 24x CD-R media. The Mitsui SG Ultra II CD-R will enable users with access to the latest 24x CD writers to record a full 650MB onto disc in just three minutes.
The Mitsui SG Ultra II CD-R media features the company’s own Phthalocyanine dye which Mitsui claims extends the life of the media, offering better heat and UV resistance guaranteed for ten years. According to the company, the dye also means that each
CD-R is recorded with greater accuracy – sharper pit edges on the burnt CD-R are easier for a CD drive to read and deliver top quality sound or data.
The Mitsui SG Ultra II CD-R discs are now available at a cost of 60 pence each.
