The magicolor 2200 is the latest A4 colour laser from Minolta-QMS. According to the company it combines a fast print speed with powerful output facilities and auto-sensing networking technologies. The printer can output colour pages at up to 5ppm, and in B&W at up to 20ppm. Pages can be output at up to 1,200-x-1,200dpi – and an AIC (Automatic Image Calibration) system keeps colours in check by using closed-loop colour correction. Also supported by the printer are multiple simultaneous languages – including PostScript, PC6 and PDF – and the unit includes an auto-sensing Ethernet network interface. Available options include a 500-sheet lower feeder unit, an automatic duplexer, a five-bin mailbox and a digital copier/scanner. The magicolor 2200 costs from £1,595 plus VAT.
