Sony has announced its next digital still camera, the DSC-P1, which combines a 3.34 megapixel CCD with stylish looks. The camera looks like an overgrown MemoryStick, which the camera uses to store images.
The DSC-P1 is described by Sony as ultra-compact and weighs only 250g. It also features a pop-up 3x optical zoom lens, which is hidden in the camera body when not in use.
The camera also includes a 1.5 inch LCD screen, an optical viewfinder for better control in poor lighting conditions and can capture MPEG video at 16.7fps.
Buyers can expect to pay around £700 including VAT.
