Adobe has released an update for its professional photography application, Lightroom.

Among the changes in Lightroom 2.2 is Raw support for seven more cameras. Adobe added support for the Canon EOS, 5D Mark II, Canon PowerShot G10, Panasonic DMC-G1, Panasonic DMC-FX150, Panasonic DMC-FZ28, Panasonic DMC-LX3, and the Leica D-LUX 4.

The company is also providing the Adobe's Camera Profiles as part of this release. The profiles provide users with an easy starting point when using Raw processing.

Adobe said the update also includes several refinements such as enhanced performance of the local adjustment tools.

The update is free for registered users and can be downloaded from Adobe's Web site. For new users Lightroom costs £175 plus VAT.
