Version 2.0 of the software for Matrox’s RT.X2 video capture and acceleration board will ship in November, adding support for the 720p format used by JVC’s HD110 HDV camcorder.

The update gains support for Matrox HDV files and Matrox Flex CPU effects in After Effects, 4:2:2:4 (YUVA) MPEG-2 I-frame editing in HD and SD, and real-time playback and mixing of Adobe native HDV files, improved colour correction tools. It also adds video output for Adobe Bridge and Windows Media Player and four new effects: cube, impressionist, ripple, and twirl.
