Eyeon Connection is a new technology that enables users of the company’s Fusion compositing software to access Autodesk’s Stone file system across a network. It was announced at the IBC (International Broadcast Conference) trade show in Amsterdam.

The software allows media created in Fusion to be shared with users of Discreet Inferno, Flame, Flint, Fire, and Smoke with time-consuming import and export, according to the company. Connection is a virtual file system than converts the hierarchical structure of Stone’s clip library into a standard file system that can be browsed from Fusion systems.

Connection will ship this winter and will cost $999 (around £530).
