Pinnacle has announced version 6 of its Liquid Edition editing software. The update introduces a redesigned interface, improves audio support and adds new effects and native support for HDV format video.

The audio engine has been revamped using technology from audio heavyweight Steinberg, who Pinnacle bought lasy year. Liquid Edition 6 gains a sophisticated audio mixer, according to Pinnacle, and support for surround sound and VST plug-ins.
