The International Broadcast Convention - IBC - will go ahead in Amsterdam this weekend, say organizers, despite the terrorist attack in the US. However the show, which is the largest video and broadcast event in Europe, may feel the effects of the tragedy.
"A few companies may now not exhibit," said organizers. "Some booths may not be totally completed, and some may not be staffed as originally planned. The disruption to transport will also affect visitors."
A number of companies have already told Digit that key US staff will not make the trip to Amsterdam. At present, all flights from the US to Europe are suspended, making it impossible for companies to attend.
However, the conference organizers have pledged to make sure the show is still a success.
