The Pixel Farm has announced the launch of PFMatch 2.0 for Apple’s Shake 4.0. The software incorporates technology from The Pixel Farm’s tracking and analysis system PFTrack. According to the company, the plug-in provides Shake users with a fully integrated 3D tracking environment to complement Shake 4.0’s new 3D capabilities.
PFMatch 2.0 allows Shake users to track shots to determine 3D camera motion and metric within Shake when compositing. The company claims that this will remove the need for external matchmoving for many shots.
PFMatch 2.0 will be available later this month for EUR649 (around £438).
The company has also upgraded disk-based DI review, approval and QA system PFPlay to version 2.0, and has launched two new products – PFClean and PFClip. PFClean is an image clean-up system for use prior to starting VFX work, while PFClip is a RAM-based clip player.
