Noise Industries has released FxFactory 2.0.6. Compatible with Adobe's After Effects CS3/CS4, and Apple's Final Cut Studio, FxFactory offers over 300 visual effects plug-ins optimized for real-time performance on the Mac platform.
New in the latest version is the ability to preview thumbnails in the host application, simplifying finding the right FxFactory filter, generator and transition.
The new 2.0.6 release also adds two plug-ins and core infrastructure enhancements for optimising overall effects creation workflow and image quality, says Noise Industries.
Also new is added support for hardware accelerated antialiasing in plug-ins running inside Final Cut Pro, and Motion. This feature was previously available only when running inside After Effects.
FxFactory Pro costs $399 (around £276); additional plug-in packages are available for free or commercially starting at $29 (£20). The update is free for existing users.
