Markzware has updated its Macintosh version of FlightCheck Workflow, their tool for simplifying and automating prepress workflow processes. The latest version, 3.1, adds OS X and Microsoft Office support.
FlightCheck Workflow (formerly MarkzScout) is used to create an automatic task management process that looks inside a native application file to sort, filter, categorize and route each file based on its elements, to the appropriate prepress path.
Markzware claims that the latest version offers a faster scripting engine and more extensive PDF checking. The product now also includes Carbon for Mac OS X, Publisher, Word, PowerPoint, QuarkXPress 6 and Freehand MX support.
The product is available to purchase from the Marksware Web site for $989 (around £550).
Markzware have also announced a companion maintenance upgrade for FlightCheck Professional – version 5.05 – which they claim offers smoother integration with WorkFlow 3.1 as well as increased support for Windows XP and other enhancements.
