Macromedia have released Flash Player 7 for Linux. The latest version offers improved performance and security and new development capabilities.
Flash Player 7 is available to download from the Macromedia site and will be bundled with Novell, Red Hat, Sun and Turbolinux distributions. The Flash player is integrated within the Sun Java Desktop System.
Flash Player 7 includes support for Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), enabling developers to blend HTML and Flash with consistent formatting. It also supports the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) for connecting to web services for applications that handle enterprise data in a service-oriented architecture.
