Extensis has released the Windows version of Suitcase Fusion 2, which brings it up to speed with its Macintosh counterpart.

Suitcase Fusion 2 provides users with a redesigned interface for working with type. It’s based on Universal Type Server, which allow users to search, activate and browse fonts much faster than before. Suitcase Fusion 2 offers the same font previewing capabilities as the Macintosh version of the product, allowing users to browse, compare and select the ideal font for any project.

This version offers more plug-in based auto-activation than before, including the latest professional creative applications: including Adobe Illustrator and InDesign CS2, CS3 and CS4, as well as QuarkXPress 7 and 8. Extensis utilizes Font Sense technology, which handles conflicting font versions, and when combined with Suitcase Fusion 2’s plug-ins it ensures that the right font gets chosen for auto-activation.

Suitcase Fusion 2 costs $114.94 (around £70). Upgrades from Suitcase for Windows versions 9 and 11, as well as for standalone Font Reserve 2.6, cost $57.47 (£35).
