European Design Week kicks off today in Stockholm, Sweden. The five-day event highlights the best of Europe's graphic design, and includes a conference, an awards ceremony and a variety of graphic design-related events and activities.

The conference, which starts tomorrow (May 16), features 15 practices and individual graphic designers from across Europe, presenting projects and speaking about their work. Speakers include nclude Goldstudio (Denmark), Laboratorium (Croatia), Graphic Thought Facility (UK), Henrik Nygren (Sweden) and Kokoro & Moi (Finland). Additional events and activities include seminars, workshops, guided walks and formal receptions. Winners of this year's European Design Awards will be announced at a ceremony on May 18.
