Escape Studios has launched an online 3D animation course in HD. The online platform allows students to become computer graphics experts from anywhere in the world, and the company says it promises to open doors into the film, games and animation industries.

The course was launched on Sep 8, and follows the announcement that Escape Studios has opened a facility in New York.

The online training tool means that entry-level students or anyone wanting to re-train can be educated in their own time and pace and will receive online help from Escape’s online community. Escape says that the option to tailor make a custom online course will also appeal to established industry talent who want to develop their skill set, as aspects of the course can be mixed and matched, depending on the required focus.

Previous Escape Studios students have gone on to work on major films including The Golden Compass, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix and 10,000BC. The school is also backed by British Oscar-winning director, Ridley Scott, who worked on blockbusters such as Gladiator, Black Hawk Down and Hannibal.

Escape Studios online training launched with six introductory Maya courses priced at £400 each.
