Matrox Graphics has announced a beta display driver for Linux that allows its Millennium G400 series of graphics cards to work with two displays under the OS. The Linux XFree86 driver can be downloaded from Matrox’s Web site.
The driver supports three DualHead display modes: multi-display, clone and TV-output. Multi-display splits the desktop across the two monitors. Clone delivers two versions of the same desktop – for example, for outputing materials to a control display and projector during presentations. TV-output allows output to a television display.
