US design and live-action studio Colourmovie announces welcomes Drew Neujahr as art director to its staff. Neujahr brings live-action direction and production, design, and illustration experience from his years as an independent director as well as Special Projects Producer for design company Belief.

Neujahr illustrated Butterfinger’s “History of the Finger” for Colourmovie as well as participating in design and animation on the project prior to his hiring as Art Director. He also collaborated with the studio on “KC Accidental,” a music video for Canadian band Broken Social Scene in 2003.

Says Brandon Martinez, creative director and co-founder of Colourmovie, "Drew shares our love of design and our
multidisciplinary approach to executing projects. We are excited to have him onboard as we continue to grow."

Neujahr remarks of his new role at Colourmovie, "I've long been a fan of the design approach at Colourmovie. In the past, collaborating with them was always seamless and inspiring, and I'm excited to join such a creative team.”

Neujahr is also one half of Slowtron, the directing team behind the award winning documentary series, Western State, featuring profiles of artists such as Andy Mueller, Cory McAbee, Geoff McFetridge and Jason Gnewikow.
