Like many other video-editing card manufacturers at this year’s NAB, DPS has added Web streaming capabilities to its tech spec. dpsVelocity now supports encoding of streaming video in many formats: including RealVideo, Windows Media and QuickTime 4. It also supports newer, American formats such as Ligos GoMotion MPEG-1 and MPEG-2.
Owners of dpsVelocity who bought their systems after March 10 will get the update for free. Older purchasers will have to pay an amount described by DPS as "nominal" for this.
