Dell has announced the Precision M90 and the Precision M65 mobile workstations, which are the first models from the company to feature Intel's Core Duo dual-core processors.

These chips place two processor cores on a single piece of silicon, boosting the performance of heavy-duty creative applications and 3D rendering.

The mobile workstation supports Core Duo processors up to the 2.16GHz T2600, and up to 4GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM. It includes a Serial ATA hard drive up to 120GB in size, gigabit ethernet, wireless networking, DVI output for connection to a monitor, and a 5-in-1 media card reader. Pricing begins at £1,497 plus VAT.

 border=0 />The Precision M65 has a 15.4-inch screen with the option of resolutions up to 1,920-x-1,200. It uses an NVidia Quadro FX 350M graphics chip with 256MB of RAM. It supports Core Duo processors up to the 2.16GHz T2600, and up to 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM. It includes a Serial ATA hard drive up to 120GB in size, gigabit ethernet, and wireless networking.

Pricing begins at £1,168 plus VAT. The Precision M65 is also available with a mainstream graphics processor as the Latitude D820.
