The D&AD Annual and DVD showreel 2004 launches today - and promises a creative feast of this year's creative hits, including the D&AD Award winners from around the world. Titled Now That's What I Call Design/Advertising 42, organizers say it showcases graphic design, advertising, ambient media, digital design, music videos, photography, product design, and architecture.
Each piece in the Annual was selected from entries into this year's D&AD Awards, with 746 works selected from over 23,000 entries from 58 countries. The 600-page tome includes full credit listings, and the DVD has over four hours of footage.
According to the D&AD, the Annual cover was inspired by the record sleeves of the EMI Now That's What I Call Music collections, with divider pages created by the likes of David Carson, Malcom Garrett, Paula Scher, and Erik Spiekermann.
It is on sale now from the D&AD Web site (available here), plus specialist bookshops, and costs £150.
