Launching today as part of the new Creative Suite 3, Soundbooth CS3 replaces Audition in Adobe’s collection -- though the company will still develop and sell Audition for audio pros.

Soundbooth is designed to be much quicker and easier for visual creatives to learn, using techniques and terminology they are used to – and aiming directly for Apple’s Soundtrack Pro.

Its clean-up tools can remove background hiss, rumbles, click, pops and other artefacts automatically (below) -- or by applying the Healing Brush-style Auto Heal function (bottom) on a visual representation of an audio clip’s spectral analysis. </p> <p> <div class=inlineimage><img src=Premiere Pro CS3 and the ability to create animation cues for Flash (below).
