Corel is planning to release its CorelDraw 10 Graphics Suite for Mac OS X in September at Apple Expo Paris, according to Mac news Web site MacCentral. The graphics suite will include three tools; CorelDraw 10, Corel Photo-Paint 10, and Corel RAVE - the company's animation package with Flash export.
CorelDraw is an illustration and DTP package that offers a range of tools, while Photo-Paint is an image-editing tool in the vein of Adobe Photoshop. The release will see both Mac OS and Windows versions have version parity.
The site quotes a Corel spokesperson as saying: "We will be showing these products at Apple Expo Paris later this month. The products will be ready when we get to Paris."
Corel has already stated that it sees the graphics industry as the engine for its growth, following a turbulent year in 2000. It has recently bought both Softquad and Micrografx into the fold in the past few months, plus released Painter 7 under its procreate brand.
