Maxon has announced MoGraph, a module for Cinema 4D aimed at motion graphics artists. The add-on for the core package costs £259 plus VAT, or for £699 plus VAT bundled with Cinema 4D.

<p>
The module combines tools, presets, materials, backgrounds, transitions, countdowns and 350MB of royalty-free audio and video clips that artists can utilize to create motion graphics without necessarily requiring knowledge and training in 3D modelling and animation.
</p>
<p>
MoGraph’s toolset allows objects to be placed in 3D space, cloned instantly, and arranged linearly, radially, in a grid or onto existing 3D objects. Effectors are then used to set these clones in motion randomly or by applying audio, textures, formulas, or many other elements. Virtually every aspect is animatable and can be controlled through expressions, according to Maxon.

<p>
When the 3D animation is complete, multipass layers and 3D elements can then be rendered and imported directly into After Effects, Combustion, Motion, Final Cut Pro, Shake or Fusion for compositing.
