Canon has launched its new MVX1(i) DV camera, which sports a 1.3 megapixel CCD - and move the company says will ensure the camera delivers the best image-quality on the the market. Sporting a new design concept, the camera features a tilting viewfinder and rotating grip belt. It also offers digital line-in functionality - meaning users can upload edited footage or graphics from their computer to the camera without loss of quality, says Canon.
The camera features a 10x zoom, which can be digitally extended to 200x, says Canon. A built-in flash and no-shake photo button debut for when using the camera as a digital stills device.
Other features include a programmed auto exposure, a progressive photo system that enhances digital picture quality, extended recording mode, and long-life battery that offers up to six and a half hours recording time. Pricing is not yet available.
