Following the trend in digital cameras that the more extras you throw in, the more you sell, Fujifilm has announced a digital camera that includes an MP3 audio player. The 2.47 megapixel FinePix 40i can store up to 80 minutes of music on the 64MB SmartMedia card – and the camera ships with headphones so you can listen to your favourite tunes while you’re snapping. However, the card is also used for storing the images, so you’re going to have to fight have a constant battle between using space for music and for images. The camera can also record video in up to 80 second bursts (up to a total of 6 minutes on the 64MB SmartMedia card). However, this will also have to balanced with pictures and music. The feature set of the camera includes a 1.8-inch LCD screen, a maximum resolution of 2,400-x-1,800, a Fujinon EBC autofocus lens, a flash range of 2.5m, and a USB port. The camera is available in blue and silver. It should cost between £500 and £600.
