Digital camera may be getting smaller, but Olympus and Sony have increased the size of the viewing screen used by many photographers for framing their shots. Both have released models with three-inch LCD screens, which take up the majority of the rears of the SP-700 and Cyber-shot N1.
The camera features 24 scene modes, including an underwater mode for use in conjunction with the PT-013 underwater case, Red-eye Fix, Macro and Super Macro (for shooting objects as close as 1cm away).
Sony says that the N1 can take up to 300 shots on a single charge of the rechargable lithium battery.
Pricing for both models has yet to be confirmed.
