Monaco Systems has launched a new high-end colour management solution, consisting of the company’s MonacoPROOF colour management software and a Digital Swatchbook spectrophotometer from X-Rite. The spectrophotometer may sound like something the villain threatens the heroine with in a dodgy 50s sci-fi movie, but it’s actually a device for measuring colour data.
The Digital Swatchbook captures 31-point spectral information, colourimetric values and density data. The captured information is translated by the MonacoPROOF software into profiles for input, output and display devices.
The solution, which works on both Mac and Windows machines costs $2,299 (around £1,500).
