The finalists of this year's BIMA awards have been named, with 79 entries across 18 categories making the final cut. The BIMA organisation - which stands for British Interactive Media Association - said there had been a near record high of 328 entries. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 28, 2001. Also announced will be the Grand Prix award (the best of the winners) and two awards for outstanding contribution by an individual and company. Categories include: UK online business services; banking and finance online; education; art & culture; entertainment and sport. Companies nominated include Deepend London, Victoria Real, Icon Media Lab, and Cimex Media. Full details of the finalists and categories are available on the BIMA Web site.
