A blog entry by Adobe's senior product manager for After Effects has strongly hinted that a new version of the visual effects and motion graphics suite will debut on Tuesday alongside the company's Creative Suite 3 of graphic design tools.

Steve Kilisky says that he will be showing off "exciting new software" at the AENY User Group meeting on March 29, though what he's showing will make it's first appearance two days earlier at the Creative Suite 3 launch (which he links to). As the product manager for AE, it seems unlikely that he's referring to InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or any of the current members of Creative Suite 2.

After Effects is currently on version 7, which shipped only just over a year ago. Adobe normally has an 18-month upgrade cycle.
