Adobe has updated its vector-graphics application, Illustrator. The free update increases compatibility and performance issues found in previous versions. Illustrator 10.0.3 can now import Photoshop 7.0 files that contain any of the five new blend modes included with Photoshop. With the update, Illustrator now correctly exports .PSD files that utilize Photoshop 7.0’s anti-aliasing and layer slices. Adobe said the update also addresses performance issues on the Mac, as well as numerous printing and flattening issues. The download is available from Adobe’s Web site.
