Adobe has said that it will be announcing the details of its next version of its Creative Suite of design applications on March 27.

On 8.30pm (UK time) on that date, Adobe will launch the event in New York City -- with the event available as a Web cast. The company says that the launch will the be "the largest software release in Adobe's 25 year history".

No information about which products will be in the suite or their new features are available, which is due in Spring 2007. Currently the Creative Suite is available in two versions. The Standard version includes Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, InDesign CS2, Version Cue CS2, and Bridge. The Premium version adds Acrobat 8, GoLive CS2 and Dreamweaver 8.

To promote the launch, Adobe has set up teaser Web site What Is In The Box?, and placed this viral video on YouTube.
