Author: LA gallery Cantor Fine Art created a whole new set of emojis, each representing a famous artist.
Emoji and fine art might seem like the orange juice and toothpaste of the visual arts: lovely alone, in very different ways, and ruined together.
But there is something satisfying and strangely beautiful in matching the complex power of fine art with emojis, which is surely the only art form truly symbolic and worthy of the modern age.
A whole new set of emojis has been designed by Cantor Fine Art, each representing a famous artist or artwork. The Los Angeles-based private dealership, which represents contemporary artists, noticed that emojis often resemble famous artworks – Le Cri by Munch is a good example, but here are some others.
