Vicon acquires boujou matchmoving tool
Mocap system developer Vicon has announced that boujou, formerly a product of sister company 2d3, will now become part of Vicon. Both are subsidiaries of Oxford Metrics Group (OMG). Vicon said in a statement that the move follows "the increasing alignment in markets seen by 2d3 and Vicon."

Vicon Film Festival prizes up for grabs
The deadline for entries to Vicon's Film Festival is fast approaching. Vicon, the developer of Academy Award-winning motion-capture systems, is reminding animators that they have until January 31, 2008 to submit entries for the $10,000 Film Festival cash prize. All films must be uploaded through the Vicon Film Festival site.
