  • Discreet apps to talk Final Cut Pro

    Discreet has announced that it plans to support Final Cut Pro’s .XML-based interchange format in upcoming versions of its editing and visual effects systems. This means that editorial decisions made by users with Final Cut Pro will be directly transferable to Discreet's smoke and fire editing and finish systems, as well as its lustre digital grading and colour correction system.

    All three feature films nominated for this year’s Best Visual Effects Oscar used Discreet’s Inferno, Flame, Fire or Lustre systems. Discreet claims that this is the ninth year in a row that nominees in this category have been clients of theirs.
