GoZ for modo is a new tool from ZBrush-creator Pixologic, which improves the workflow between ZBrush's organic sculpting and texture tool and Luxology's modo 3D modeling, painting and rendering software. Luxology and Pixologic say that they worked closely together to optimize the mesh geometry transfer between these two computer graphics applications to give users a more seamless and combined workflow.
ZBrush allows you to sculpt and manipulate 3D models and paint and work with 2D images, but also combines both concepts in a unique ‘2.5D’ workspace.
Pixologic has made its first announcement about the next version of its ZBrush 3D painting software, which is to ship for Windows on May 15 -- with a Mac version to follow.
It has been said that 3D graphics technology is stuck in a rut. It’s practically inconceivable to imagine a 3D program taking some other form. There have been a few minor diversions off the 3D motorway but never has there been one so tangential as ZBrush from Pixologic.
Pixologic has announced that version two of ZBrush, their 2D and 3D paint software, will be available this month. As well as major feature enhancements to modelling, texturing and painting tools, the company claims that speed and performance has been significantly enhanced in the new release.
