Adobe is now shipping Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Windows and Mac. The latest version includes many new features including some previously only available in Photoshop CS.

IBC: Premiere Pro gains HDV support
Following the announcement of Sony's HDR-FX1E, Adobe will add support for the HDV format to Premiere Pro 1.5, the company said. No extra hardware is required, as HDV is captured over the same FireWire connection as standard DV, and standard deck control capabilities are available.

Adobe updates Photoshop plug-in
Adobe has released an updated version of its plug-in that enables Photoshop to fully utilize Apple's G5 processor and replaces the Adobe Color Engine with a new one designed specifically for the G5. Originally released in August 2003, this updated plug-in adds support for the Dual Processor 2.5GHz Power Mac G5; Adobe notes that this is the only change from the first version. This free download requires Photoshop 7.0.1.
